Hack54 is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how and when Hack54 collects, uses, and shares your information, including informing you of your rights regarding your personal information that we hold.

This Privacy Policy is applicable to personal data submitted through www.hack54.org website (hereinafter – the “Website”). This Website is managed by Socialite AF Ltd, established in Accra, Ghana.

You may provide personally identifiable information (“personal data”) about yourself when you participate to our events and, of course, when you fill in your personal data in “join a hackathon form”, “share your story form”, “become a sponsor form”, or “newsletter subscription form” on our Website (name, e-mail address, job title, and other relevant background information).

Persons that are under 16 years old cannot provide their personal data through this Website. If you are below the age of 16 years, please provide consent for personal data submission and processing by the holder of parental responsibility over you.

Together with the other services offered through our website, Hack54 also offers the possibility to request the subscription to our Newsletter and be kept up to date with upcoming hackathons. You may unsubscribe from such newsletters by following the instructions specified in every newsletter.

Affiliates and Partners. We may share your data with Hack54 sponsors and partners involved in funding and supporting our hackathons. These entities may receive your information only to the extent necessary for the proper execution of the purposes defined above.

In addition, personal data may be transferred in case Hack54 merge, re-organise or transfer all or part of its services in which case your information will be disclosed to potential or actual successors of the business.

We primarily store and process your personal data in the company archives, which is accessible by only our employees and founders.

Hack54 shall inform you of any such extension within one month of receipt of the request, together with the reasons for the delay. Where the request is made by electronic form means, the information shall be provided by electronic means where possible, unless otherwise requested by you.

We inform you that you have the right to lodge a complaint to the competent data protection authority, if you believe that your personal data have been processed in violation of any applicable law concerning data protection.
